Monika George Educational Bursary

The Niagara Regional Police Service Senior Officers' Association is proud to present the Monika George Educational Bursary.  Monika became a member of the Niagara Regional Police Service in 2001, first holding the position of Finance Coordinator.  She was promoted Finance Manager and ultimately became the Director of Corporate Services. 

Monika transformed the administrative units of the Service with both her technical abilities and her natural leadership skills.  She inspired and improved the performance of others by empowering them.  Monika was a leader who lived her life with the utmost integrity and compassion for others. 

In addition to her positive representation of the Niagara Regional Police Service, she represented the best of the Niagara Region.  She was a passionate outdoor and animal enthusiast who, together with her husband, built an incredible vineyard on the Niagara escarpment.  Her commitment to the Niagara Region is honoured through this Bursary.

The Monika George Educational Bursary is designed to financially assist qualified applicants in obtaining degrees or diplomas from accredited academic institutions of higher learning.   The $250.00 Bursary is open to any student preparing to enter college or university. 

Updated: March 11, 2022 - The Monika George bursary will not be awarded in 2022.
