On Friday, March 21, 2025, at approximately 11:03 am, 6 District (Port Colborne/Wainfleet) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Elm Street and George Street in the City of Port Colborne for a motor vehicle collision with fatal injuries. 

Investigation revealed a 47-year-old male resident of Port Colborne was operating an E-bike on Elm Street in the City of Port Colborne when a collision occurred involving a motor vehicle.   Tragically, the driver of that vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

The investigation remains on going by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service. 

Anyone with information, anyone with video footage, or anyone with dash camera footage is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3. ext. 1009367. 

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
