On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at approximately 6:26pm, Niagara Regional Police Service responded to Church Street near Calvin Street in the City of St. Catharines for a collision involving a single motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
Police, St. Catharines Fire Department, and Niagara Emergency Medical Services responded and located an adult male suffering from life threatening injuries. He was transported by Air ORNGE to an out of region hospital. He is currently in stable condition.
The driver of the motor vehicle failed to remain at the scene.
The suspect vehicle is described as:
- 2008 or newer, dark coloured Dodge or Chrysler van with roof rails
- There will be front end damage
- The vehicle will likely be missing a silver coloured, Dodge brand, plastic hub cap, that was located near the scene
Church Street, between Niagara Street and Queenston Street, was re-opened at approximately 2am.
