Update 1 – June 27, 2024
As a result of the investigation, detectives with 8 District (Grimsby) were able to identify one of the suspects. On June 26, 2024, the suspect was arrested. 
 
A 15 year old male from Grimsby, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offence:
  • Mischief Over $5,000
 
The 15 year old male released on a Form 10-Undertaking with a future court date.
 
The Youth Criminal Justice Act of Canada prohibits the Niagara Regional Police Service from releasing the identity of the youth. 
 
The investigation remains on-going as detectives believe there are still two outstanding suspects.
 
The suspects are described as:
Suspect 1:
• Male
• White
• Between the ages of 14-18yrs old
• Small/thin build
• Blonde hair
• Wearing a dark shirt and dark shorts
 
Suspect 2:
• Male
• Black
• Between the ages of 14-18yrs
• Large build
• Wearing a white t-shirt and dark color shorts
 
The suspects were in the area of Angelina Macri Prokich Park between 1:00AM and 1:30AM on June 25, 2024.
 
Detective are asking the public to contact police or crime stoppers with any information or CCTV footage from the area.

Original Release – June 25, 2024
 
On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at approximately 1:14am, uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Connor Drive and Stadelbauer, in the Town of Lincoln for a property damage call.
 
Investigation revealed that unknown suspects were damaging light standards and other items in the park. Officers attended the park and discovered the damage however the suspects had fled westbound toward Stadelbauer Drive and then northbound toward St. Georges Drive.  
 
The suspects are believed to be three youths.
 
8 District detectives have taken carriage of the investigation and are asking for the public's assistance to check for any CCTV or dash cam footage in the area around the park as well as the route they fled (Stadelbauer Drive and St Georges Drive).
