On May 26, 2024 at approximately 4:30am, 6 District (Port Colborne/Wainfleet) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Tunnacliffe Road North and O'Reilly's Road North in Wainfleet for a shooting call for service. 

Investigation revealed shots were fired at this location after officers located evidence of a firearm being discharged. 3 District (Welland/Fonthill) Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police have taken carriage of the investigation and have reason to believe there was a party at this location prior to officers attending the area.
Detectives are requesting that anyone who might have been in the area, anyone who witnessed the shooting, anyone at the party who was a witness to the shooting, or anyone driving through the area who may have dashcam video of the incident to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009470. 

 Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.  Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
