During the early months of 2025, members of the 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit commenced an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in Niagara Falls.

On April 9, 2025, detectives executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the City of Niagara Falls. Located within the residence were $6,430 in Canadian currency, $410 in American currency, 1,016.8 grams of marijuana products, 89 THC pens, 180 suspected oxycodone pills, 239 suspected Percocet pills, and 6.5 grams of suspected cocaine.

Mark Galbraith, 48, and Brittany Marie Saunders, 39, both of Niagara Falls, were arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

• Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (3 Counts)

• Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking

Galbraith and Saunders were released on Form 10 Undertakings with future court dates.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact NRPS at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009901.
