James has been located and is safe.  The NRPS would like to thank the media and the public for their help in this matter. 

We have removed his photo from the original media release and our social media.  We would ask the public and media to consider doing the same for his privacy.

 

Original Release - September 10, 2024

Officers from the 3 District – Welland / Pelham office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are searching for missing person James Emery.

On September 10, 2024, the Niagara Regional Police Service was contacted to report James missing.  James was last spoken to by his family on September 6, 2024.  James checks in with family daily, but he has not been heard from since. 

James is described as:

  • White male
  • Approximately 190lbs. medium build
  • 5’8” feet tall
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown short hair
  • Glasses

A clothing description is not known currently.

James has been known to frequent St. Catharines, Burlington, Toronto (Union Station), and the Durham Region (Whitby).

James has a medical condition that requires attention.  James will likely be in the company of his service dog.

The police and James’ family are concerned for his welfare.  Anyone who may have information as to his location are asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009215.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.  Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.
