Update 1 - MISSING PERSON – NRPS in Welland are Searching for 31 Year-Old Man

Update 1 - September 5th, 2024

Initially Chris’ vehicle was believed to be Blue. Further investigation has determined that the vehicle is a Black Chevy Cobalt.

Detectives from the 3 District - (Welland/Fonthill) office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are searching for missing person Chris Jones. 

Chris was last heard from on September 4th at approximately 1:25pm. Chris is believed to be in the City of Welland. Chris may be operating a blue 4 door Chevy Cobalt with Ontario Marker CYSS667. 

Chris is described as: 

• White Male

• Slender build

• 6 feet tall

• Dark Hair
• Scruffy facial hair 

• Octopus Tattoo on left hand

A clothing description is not known at this time. 

Chris also has ties to the Windsor area.

The police and Chris’ family are concerned for his welfare.  Anyone who may have information as to his location are asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009395.
