On Thursday, March 6, 2025, at approximately 1:41 p.m. Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) uniform members assigned to 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) responded to the area of Christie Street and Clarke Street in the Town of Grimsby for a Motor Vehicle Collision call for service.
Upon arrival, uniformed officers confirmed that two vehicles were involved in a collision. One vehicle, a transport truck, was travelling north bound on Christie Street when the driver entered the intersection and struck a grey ford focus. The transport truck left the roadway and struck a guard rail, lodging the vehicle alongside the Christie Street QEW highway overpass.
As a result, the driver of the transport truck, a 70-year-old male from Burlington, was issued a provincial offence notice for:
- Red Light – Fail to Stop
The north bound roadway on Christie Street and the QEW Eastbound ramp were temporarily closed as a result of the accident. There were no reported injuries.
