On April 19th, 2025, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) responded to the St. Catharines Public Library following a report of a belated incident involving two individuals. The incident, which is believed to have occurred inside the library between 4:00pm and 6:00pm was reported after the fact by library staff.
Detectives are seeking public assistance identifying a person of interest, who is described as follows:
- Male
- White
- 40 to 50 years of age
- Bald
- Brown facial hair
- Wearing a pink hat
- Wearing a black long sleeved shirt
- Wearing blue jeans
- Wearing white running shoes
Anyone who knows the identity of the individual or who may have had an interaction with the individual is asked to contact detectives by dialing (905) 688-4111, option 3, extension 1008430.
Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information that leads to an arrest.
