Since May of 2024, 5 District (Fort Erie) uniform officers and detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service began an investigation into a string of thefts from vehicles in the Town of Fort Erie by a male suspect. 
 
As a result of the investigation, detectives and uniform officers were able to identify the suspect. 
 
Braedon Erickson (19 years old) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
  • Attempt Indictable Offence (Theft Under $5000)   (2 Counts)
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Breach of Probation 
 
Erickson was held in custody pending a bail hearing that was expected to take place on May 22, 2024, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church Street, in the City of St. Catharines.
