On May 26, 2024 at approximately 4:30am, 6 District (Port Colborne/Wainfleet) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Tunnacliffe Road North and O'Reilly's Road North in Wainfleet for a shooting call for service.

Male Facing 22 Charges For Incidents in St. Catharines and Welland

In May of 2024, detectives with 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) and 3 District (Welland/Fonthill) began an investigation into a string of break and enters and theft of motor vehicles by a suspect in the City of St. Catharines and in the City of Welland. 

Investigation revealed that the suspect has either broken into or accessed unlocked residential doors and taken people’s property.

As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect.

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, at approximately 7:00pm, 6 District (Port Colborne) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Main Street West and King Street in the City of Port Colborne in response to a threats call.

Investigation revealed a male was at a bar in this location threatening the establishments staff with a gun.

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, at approximately 2:40pm, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of St Paul Street West and Third Street Louth in the City of St. Catharines in response to a serious motor vehicle collision.

Theft from Vehicles Suspect Arrested in Fort Erie

Since May of 2024, 5 District (Fort Erie) uniform officers and detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service began an investigation into a string of thefts from vehicles in the Town of Fort Erie by a male suspect.  As a result of the investigation, detectives and uniform officers were able to identify the suspect.  Braedon Erickson (19 years old) of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
