Update 3 – ARREST - Detectives Investigating Fatal Stabbing in St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to the Homicide Unit continue to investigate the fatal stabbing that occurred in St. Catharines on March 30, 2025.

As a result of the investigation, with the assistance of The Peterborough Police Service, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, Rohan CHANDLER (30 years) was arrested in The City of Peterborough. Chandler is charged with the following criminal offences:

• Second Degree Murder
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order

UPDATE 1 – Collision Reconstruction Unit Detectives Investigating a Fail to Remain – St. Catharines

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives assigned to the Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a fail-to-remain motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

On Monday, April 7, 2025, Detectives arrested Michael GOSPODAREK (74 years) of St. Catharines.

As a result of the investigation, GOSPODAREK has been charged with the following criminal offence in connection with the collision:

• Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Cause Bodily Harm

MISSING PERSON – NRPS in Niagara Falls are Searching for a 13-Year-Old Female

Officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara on the Lake) are searching for missing person Ruby HUANG.

Ruby was last seen on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the area of Kalar Road and Lundy’s Lane in the City of Niagara Falls. It is believed that Ruby was travelling on foot.

Ruby is described as:

• Asian female
• Approximately 100lbs. medium build
• 5’2 feet tall
• Brown eyes
• Dark long straight hair

On Sunday, April 6, 2025, at approximately 8:00 a.m., 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded alongside the St. Catharines Fire Department and Niagara Emergency Medical Service (NEMS) for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian, at the intersection of Carlton Street and Grantham Avenue in the City of St. Catharines.
