MISSING PERSON – 77-Year-Old Male Missing from Niagara Falls

The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is currently conducting a missing person investigation stemming from the City of Niagara Falls.

Detectives assigned to 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) are currently searching for Wayne GILLIS (77 years of age). He was last seen driving in the area of Falls Avenue and Bender Street on April 1, 2025, at approximately 4:20 p.m.

GILLIS is described as follows:

-          Male

-          White

-          5’10 feet tall

-          Slender build

Update 2 – Detectives Investigating Fatal Stabbing in St. Catharines

On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, the victim involved in this altercation succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Investigators are now able to identify the victim as 56-year-old Victor Clayton.

As a result of his death, Niagara Regional Police Homicide Detectives have continued to retain carriage of this investigation.

A male suspect, identified as Rohan Chandler (30 years) of no fixed abode is now wanted for the following criminal...

UPDATE 1 - Homicide Detectives Investigating Shooting in St. Catharines

This remains an active investigation by Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Homicide Unit.

Detectives are appealing to the public—particularly anyone who was in the area of Carlton Street between Vine Street and Geneva Street – on Monday, March 24, 2025, between 3:30am and 3:42am when a fatal shooting occurred.

Investigators are specifically seeking dashcam footage or any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything suspicious during that time.

Update 1 – Detectives Investigating Stabbing in St. Catharines

On March 30, 2025, at 4:28am, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1 District (St.Catharines / Thorold) responded to reports of a stabbing at an address on Niagara Street between Church Street and Welland Avenue, in the City of St.Catharines.

The investigation was assigned to 1 District Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) detectives. As a result of continued efforts, detectives identified a male suspect responsible for the offence of Attempt Murder.
