Suspicious Sudden Death in St. Catharines

Detectives are investigating following the suspicious sudden death of an adult female in the City of St. Catharines.
At approximately 9:30am on Thursday January 9, 2025, 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers were called to an apartment in the area of Church and Court Streets.
When they arrived, they discovered a 67-year-old female deceased inside the apartment.
At this time, no arrests have been made.

On January 9, 2025, at 12:11pm our 1 District (St. Catharines/ Thorold) uniform officers responded to Princess Ann Circle in St. Catharines for a possible shooting. Officers arrived on scene and found a victim suffering from serious injuries. The victim was treated by Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics and transported to an out of region hospital.

Detectives Investigating Fail to Remain Involving a Pedestrian in St. Catharines

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at approximately 6:26pm, Niagara Regional Police Service responded to Church Street near Calvin Street in the City of St. Catharines for a collision involving a single motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
