MISSING PERSON – NRPS in St. Catharines are Searching for a 56-Year-Old Woman - LOCATED

Detectives from the 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) office of the Niagara Regional Police Service have been investigating the disappearance of Souda CHANHSAVANG. On December 1, 2024, she was located.  Out respect for the next kin no further details are being released.

We have removed her photo from the original media release and our social media.  We would ask the public and media to consider doing the same.

MISSING PERSON – NRPS in St. Catharines are Searching for a 56-Year-Old Woman

Officers from the 1 District – St. Catharines/Thorold office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are searching for missing person Souda CHANHSAVANG.

On November 30, 2024, the NRPS were contacted by Souda’s family to report her missing.

Souda last communicated with her family on Thursday, November 28th, 2024, by text message. She has not been heard from or seen since. Her location or means of travel are unknown.

• South Asian female
• Medium build.

NRPS Arrest Adult Female Following Online Campus Threat – St. Catharines

On November 28, 2024, at approximately 1:56pm the 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to Brock University Campus in St. Catharines regarding a threats call for service.

The NRPS was contacted by INTERPOL Washington after they were contacted by the social media app “Snapchat”.  Snapchat had alerted INTERPOL after a Thorold based user made a threatening post towards Brock University.

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service are investigating two theft incidents that occurred at jewelry stores in St. Catharines and Welland.
