On November 28, 2024, at approximately 1:56pm the 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to Brock University Campus in St. Catharines regarding a threats call for service.

The NRPS was contacted by INTERPOL Washington after they were contacted by the social media app “Snapchat”.  Snapchat had alerted INTERPOL after a Thorold based user made a threatening post towards Brock University.

Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service are investigating two theft incidents that occurred at jewelry stores in St. Catharines and Welland.

On November 27, 2024, at approximately 6:18pm, 8 District (Grimsby/West Lincoln/Lincoln) uniform officers with Niagara Regional Police Service, the West Lincoln Fire Department and Niagara Emergency Medical Services attended the area of Regional Road 20 South and South Grimsby Road 18 in the Township of West Lincoln for a serious motor vehicle collision.

1 Male Arrested and 1 Male Wanted in Relation to Weapon Charges in Niagara Falls

In November of 2024, detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit began an investigation into a male believed to be in possession of a firearm in the City of Niagara Falls. 

As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify two suspects.

On November 26, 2024, with assistance from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit, one suspect was arrested. The suspect was found to be in possession of:

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.
