1 Male Arrested and 1 Male Wanted in Relation to Weapon Charges in Niagara Falls

In November of 2024, detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) Street Crime Unit began an investigation into a male believed to be in possession of a firearm in the City of Niagara Falls.
As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify two suspects.
On November 26, 2024, with assistance from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit, one suspect was arrested. The suspect was found to be in possession of:

The Niagara Regional Police Service continues to investigate the circumstances of a homicide that occurred one year ago today on November 27, 2023, at 5:30PM in the parking lot of a residential condominium building in the area of Concord Place and Windward Drive in the Town of Grimsby.
When emergency crews arrived, they located 21-year-old Jordan Chu with life threatening injuries. He was transported to an out of region hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

On August 5, 2024, the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) became aware of allegations involving a Uniform Constable employed with the NRPS, following a call for service at a home in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
In responding to the call for service, it was determined that an on-duty member of the NRPS had been involved in an altercation with a suspect.

On November 25, 2024, 3 District (Welland / Pelham) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a robbery complaint in the City of Welland.
