Detectives from the 8 District Office (Lincoln, West Lincoln, Grimsby) of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are investigating a Break and Enter at a High School in the Town of Lincoln.

On Saturday, July 27 at approximately 11:30pm, 3 District (Welland/Fonthill) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the Circle K, located at 1022 Pelham Street, in Pelham for a Robbery.

Detectives Investigating Robbery at Dairy Queen in Niagara Falls - Update - Arrest

Update 1 - July 29 - Arrest

As a result of the continued investigation, 2 District detectives with the assistance from the 2 District Street Crime Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service were able to identify the suspect responsible for the robbery that occurred at the Dairy Queen, located at 3509 Portage Roadin the City of Niagara Falls 

On July 24th, 2024, the suspect was arrested. 

Vincent AMODEO (73 years old) of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with the following offence:

  • Robbery

NRPS Safety Clears Thorold School – Update 1 – UNFOUNDED

The investigation into this incident has been ongoing by 1 District officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service since it occurred.

The investigation has determined using closed-circuit cameras that no threat ever existed in the school as it was reported.

The matter is being closed as unfounded.
